बदरीनाथ धाम में कड़ाके की ठंड के कारण झरने और नाले का पानी जमने लग गया है। पेड़-पौधों पर पड़ी ओस की बूंदें बर्फ में तब्दील हो गई हैं। सुबह और शाम को धाम में शीतलहर चल रही है।

इन दिनों धाम पहुंच रहे तीर्थयात्रियों को कड़ाके की ठंड का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। स्थिति यह है कि शाम होते ही तीर्थयात्री कमरों में दुबक रहे हैं। नगर पंचायत बदरीनाथ के अधिशासी अधिकारी सुनील पुरोहित ने बताया कि धाम में ठंड के कारण अब पानी भी जमने लगा है।

बस अड्डा, साकेत तिराहा सहित अन्य जगहों पर अलाव की व्यवस्था की गई है। तीर्थयात्रियों के साथ ही साधु-संत ठंड से बचने के लिए अलाव का सहारा ले रहे हैं। धाम में धूप खिलने से ठंड से राहत मिल रही है।

वहीं प्रशांत महासागर में ला-नीना (पानी ठंडा होना) तेजी से बढ़ रहा है। इसका अर्थ सीधा उत्तरी गोलार्ध में तापमान का सामान्य से कम होना है। इसके चलते पूरे उत्तर भारत सहित उत्तराखंड में कड़ाके की ठंड पड़ने की संभावना है। इस बीच पारा सामान्य से तीन डिग्री तक नीचे गिर सकता है।

मौसम वैज्ञानिक डॉ. आरके सिंह ने बताया कि इस देरी से 25 अक्तूबर को देश से मानसून विदा हुआ। मानसून की विदाई के साथ ही अब देश के उत्तरी इलाकों में ठंड बढ़नी शुरू हो गई है।

वहीं अब भारी बर्फबारी के बावजूद बदरीनाथ धाम सहित देश के अंतिम गांव माणा में बिजली आपूर्ति बाधित नहीं होगी। इसके लिए उत्तराखंड रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी डेवलपमेंट एजेंसी ने बदरीनाथ धाम में स्थित 1250 किलोवाट की लघु जल विद्युत परियोजना की क्षमता बढ़ाने के साथ ही इसे आइसोलेशन मोड में संचालित करने की योजना बनाई है।

योजना का मरम्मत कार्य भी शुरू कर दिया गया है। बदरीनाथ धाम के साथ ही माणा गांव में ऊर्जा निगम की हाईटेंशन लाइन से बिजली आपूर्ति होती है।

कई बार बर्फबारी और तूफान के कारण लाइन क्षतिग्रस्त होने से आपूर्ति बाधित हो जाती है। इससे तीर्थयात्रियों के साथ ही स्थानीय लोगों को दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ता है।
