हाईकोर्ट ने उत्तरमहेंद्र भाटी हत्याकांड: सजा बढ़ाने की मांग करने वाली याचिका खारिज, मामले के सभी दोषी उत्तराखंड हाईकोर्ट से बरी प्रदेश के दादरी से पूर्व विधायक रहे महेंद्र भाटी हत्याकांड के आरोपी प्रनीत भाटी को भी बरी कर दिया है। मामले में डीपी यादव, करन यादव, लक्कड़ पाला सिंह को कोर्ट पहले ही बरी कर चुका है। इस मामले में अब सभी आरोपी बरी हो चुके हैं।

महेंद्र भाटी के बेटे की याचिका खारिज
कोर्ट ने सभी दोषियों आरोपियों की सजा बढ़ाने की मांग करने वाली महेंद्र भाटी के बेटे की याचिका को खारिज कर दिया है। मामले में हाईकोर्ट ने सीबीआई कोर्ट के उस फैसले को पलट दिया है, जिसमें सीबीआई कोर्ट ने इन आरोपियों को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई थी।

1992 में हुई थी गाजियाबाद के विधायक महेंद्र भाटी की हत्या
कुछ दिन पूर्व कोर्ट ने  मामले की सुनवाई पूरी करने के बाद फैसला सुरक्षित रखा था। मामले के अनुसार 13 सितंबर 1992 को गाजियाबाद के विधायक महेंद्र भाटी की हत्या कर दी गयी थी। जिसका आरोप डीपी यादव, प्रनीत भाटी, करण यादव व पाल सिंह पर लगा था। 15 फरवरी 2015 को देहरादून सीबीआई की अदालत ने सभी आरोपियों को दोषी मानते हुए आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई थी।
