हरिद्वार। गंगा एवं उसकी सहायक नदियों से खनन के विरोध में मातृ सदन के परमाध्यक्ष स्वामी शिवानंद का अनशन जारी है। उनके अनशन को समर्थन देने के लिए गुरुवार को भाकियू के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता राकेश टिकैत मातृ सदन आएंगे। स्वामी शिवानंद बीते 17 दिनों से सिर्फ तीन गिलास जल ग्रहण कर रहे हैं। 

स्वामी शिवानंद ने कहा है कि केंद्र और प्रदेश सरकार की ओर से गंगा में खनन करने के लिए जो नीतियां बनाई जा रही हैं, उनमें पर्यावरण और गंगा रक्षा का ध्यान नहीं रखा जा रहा है। केवल खनन करने के लिए नीतियां बनाई जा रही हैं।

यही कारण है कि अब गंगा से एक किलोमीटर के दायरे में भी स्टोन क्रशर लगाने को अनुमति दे दी गई है। जबकि पहले गंगा के पांच किलोमीटर के दायरे में स्टोन क्रशर नहीं लगाए जा सकते थे।
