देहरादून। ज्येष्ठ महीने की अमावस्या 10 जून को है। इस पर्व पर तीर्थ स्नान, दान और व्रत करने का महत्व बताया गया है। ऐसा करने से हर तरह के पाप और दोष दूर हो जाते हैं। दान करने से कई गुना पुण्य मिलता है। ज्येष्ठ अमावस्या पर भगवान शिव-पार्वती, विष्णुजी व वट वृक्ष की पूजा करने की परंपरा है। श्री महादेव गिरि संस्कृत महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डा. नवीन चंद्र जोशी ने बताया कि ज्येष्ठ महीने की अमावस्या तिथि को तीर्थ स्नान के साथ ही तर्पण व श्रद्धा अनुसार अन्न, जल आदि दान किया जाता है। ऐसा करने से पितृ तृप्त होते हैं।

सूर्य को अघ्र्य देकर पितृ तृप्ति के लिए तर्पण

अमावस्या के दिन सुबह जल्दी उठकर तीर्थ स्नान करना चाहिए। इसके बाद सूर्य को अघ्र्य देकर पितरों की शांति के लिए तर्पण करना चाहिए। ब्राह्मण को भोजन और जल दान का संकल्प लेना चाहिए। दिन में अन्न और जल दान करना चाहिए। ऐसा करने से पितृ संतुष्ट होते हैं और परिवार में समृद्धि आती है। कोरोना काल में जरूरतमंदों की मदद करना बेहतर जरिया हो सकता है। ज्योतिषाचार्य डा. नवीन चंद्र बेलवाल बताते हैं कि यह दिन उन लोगों के लिए भी बेहद खास है, जिनकी शादी होते होते रुक जाती हैं या फिर शादीशुदा जीवन में किसी तरह की कोई रुकावट आ रही हो। ऐसे लोगों को शिवजी का अभिषेक करना चाहिए। भगवान शिव की पूजा हर परेशानी दूर हो जाती है।

सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति के लिए वट पूजा

नारद पुराण मे वट पूजा का विधान बताया गया है। इस दिन महिलाएं श्रृंगार करके पति की लंबी उम्र की कामना से वट वृक्ष यानी बरगद की पूजा की करती हैं। सत्यवान व सावित्री की कथा सुनी जाती है। ग्रंथों के अनुसार सावित्री के पतिव्रता तप को देखते हुए इस दिन यमराज ने उसके पति सत्यवान के प्राण वापस करते हुए जीवनदान दिया था।
